REPAIRING A LEAK
POLYURETHANE BLIMP BAG
Included with your purchase is a peel and stick piece of patch material. Cut the material to the size of the hole and round the edges. Make sure the area around the hole is clean, using an alcohol swab (also included). Stick the patch material over the hole.
PVC BLIMP BAG
Clean and dry the area to be patched. Apply a light coating of the glue to the patch and a slightly larger area on the balloon. Let the glue dry to the touch (5-10 mins) then stick the patch to the balloon, rubbing firmly.
HOLES LARGER THAN 1/4"
Your balloon should be deflated before patching a hole larger than 1/4" diameter. Place masking tape over the hole on the outside surface of your balloon. Pull the material of the blimp bag through the inflation valve and working on a flat surface, apply your patch to the inside of the balloon using the same method as above and place patch on outside of blimp as well. Once you are finished let your blimp sit overnight before flying it again. If the balloon is damaged beyond your capability it can be repaired at our facility. |
